Alnico Cylinder Magnet - 7mm x 30mm - Pack of 6

Alnico is an alloy made mainly from a combination of Aluminium, Nickel, Cobalt and Iron plus varying levels of Copper, Titanium and Niobium.

Alnico magnets produce magnetic field strength at their poles as high as 1500 gauss (0.15 tesla), or about 3000 times the strength of Earth's magnetic field. Some brands of alnico are isotropic and can be efficiently magnetized in any direction.

Alnico magnets are used less commonly than stronger, rare earth magnets. Although they aren't as strong, they perform more reliably than rare earth magnets in several applications. You'll find them used in specific roles such as high temperature handling equipment and manufacturing of sensors.
